To further enhance the quality of undergraduate education and teaching, and to better prepare for the upcoming preliminary review and evaluation of undergraduate education, our school held a meeting of the leadership group for the review and evaluation work on the afternoon of October 16, 2024. The meeting was chaired by Dean Cao Ruonan, and attended by all members of the school leadership team and department heads.
Dean Cao first reviewed the experiences and outcomes from the previous round of teaching evaluations, emphasized the importance of the undergraduate education review and evaluation process. She urged all members to approach the evaluation work with a strong sense of responsibility and mission, ensured that all preparatory work is solidly in place.
Following that, Vice Dean Li Ming reported on the various preparatory efforts already undertaken by our school. She provided a comprehensive overview of work related to launching the project, reviewing exam papers, organizing documents, revising course outlines, and writing typical case studies and self-evaluation reports. She stated that the school has been diligently implementing the requirements of the evaluation indicator system, striving for excellence in every aspect.
Department heads discussed issues and challenges encountered during this year's third round of exam paper reviews. Dean Cao Ruonan and Secretary Zhao Zhihou addressed these concerns by outlining strategies and methods for future work. They emphasized the need to continue improving all preparatory efforts, ensuring that no detail is overlooked and no opportunity missed. Additionally, they highlighted the importance of enhancing communication and coordination to create a collaborative effort in promoting the smooth progress of the evaluation work.
