On November the 19th, the semi-finals of 2011 FLTRP CUP National English Public Speaking Competition of Shaanxi venue was held in Xi’an International Studies University. Forty-four contestants from universities of the province attended this competition. By sharply competing, Wei Zhenggang, economics major student, obtained judges’ approval by his accurate pronunciation, quick response, and distinctive viewpoint, and finally won first prize. Young teacher, Yang Na received an award at the same time.
The prize was the best achievement of non-English major students in this kind of competition.
