On October 16, 2012Helen Foster Snow symposium, organized by our school and the translation association of Shaanxi, was held in the Changan campus of NWU. The president Cui Yaping sent the welcome speech, the vice president Hu Zongfeng presided over the meeting. Scholars have a discussion on the development of Helen Snow, which aroused great interests of the participants.
An Wei, famous translator, expert on the research of the Snow, the Chairman of the Shaanxi Helen Foster Snow Research Center and the Secretary-General of the Snow Research Center, our vice president Zhu Yiping, Xi'an Memorial Curator Shangguan Xiqin, and some teachers and students of our school participated the seminar. The seminar was part of the activities of the celebration of the 110th anniversary of NWU. Xi'an Evening News, Xi'an Daily, Xi'an Television and other media reported this meeting.
