In order to deepen the study and implementation of Xi Jinping’s Thoughts on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, vigorously promote the core socialist values, the university recently held the 25th Student Spiritual Civilization Knowledge Contest with the theme "Praising the New Era and Striving for a New Journey". The contest also aimed to guide young students to learn about the Party history, appreciate the Party's kindness, understand the school's situation, and be aware of the school's rules, and to further inspire them to love the Party, love the country, love the school, and take pride in the school. Our school team won the third prize in the finals.
After the preliminary selection by the school, four undergraduate students from the 2023 class, Liu Hongli, Lei Siying, Zhu Tong, and Shi Weifan, formed the competition team, representing the school all the way to the finals. Due to physical reasons, player Zhu Tong withdrew from the competition two days before the match. Bai Mengyu, a substitute player from the 2022 class, stepped in as a substitute to participate in the final competition.
Using knowledge as a medium to build bridges for civilizations, this competition not only reflected the personal style and teamwork ability of the five participating players but also showcased the good spiritual demeanor of the students in the School of Foreign Languages. The school cheered for the outstanding performance of all the players and applaud the coaches and members of the student union who contributed throughout the entire training process.
We hope that in the future, more students from the School of Foreign Languages will fully explore their own strengths, actively step onto the stage, achieve excellent results, and demonstrate their elegance, bringing honor to themselves and the school.
