On the afternoon of June 27, 2024, Vice Dean Li Ming chaired the school’s third Teaching Evaluation and Review Promotion Meeting for the second semester of the 2023-2024 academic year in the school conference room. All members of the Teaching Committee attended the meeting.

Vice Dean Li first outlined the principles and requirements of this teaching status evaluation to all committee members and announced new measures implemented by the school to further standardize the teaching status evaluation process. The Teaching Committee conducted an in-depth review of the classroom teaching status of the courses they observed, and provided a comprehensive evaluation from multiple dimensions including the organization of teaching content, the use of teaching methods, and teacher-student interaction. They also offered suggestions for improvement on identified teaching issues. Additionally, the committee meticulously examined related materials such as lesson plans, textbooks, and teaching summaries, which are important indicators of teachers' preparation and reflection on their teaching, and serve as key evidence for assessing the quality of course instruction.

Through collective review and anonymous scoring, combined with student course evaluations and calculated according to relevant weights, the final teaching status evaluation results for 12 undergraduate and graduate courses for this semester were determined.

This evaluation was not only a comprehensive examination of the teachers' teaching status but also an in-depth exchange and summary of teaching methods and concepts, providing valuable experience for future teaching.

Subsequently, Vice Dean Li organized a timeline and work plan for the upcoming Ministry of Education's undergraduate teaching review. She analyzed and summarized the issues found during the self-inspection of exam papers and theses, and initiated relevant correction mechanisms. Vice Dean Li requested that each department further conduct self-inspection and correction after the end-of-semester tasks, establish long-term mechanisms to ensure the political correctness, scientific rigor, fairness, and standardization of exam papers, as well as the academic standards and writing quality of theses, continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of education and teaching.
